This book
explains the process to follow when selecting chuch accounting
software. It includes guidance on:
- How to assemble
a software selection team
- Peform a needs assessment
- Review and evaluate
the package
- Select and implement
the system
The book does not endorse
any specific software package. Instead, after understanding the
appropriate steps in the process, your church should be in the best
position to select the package to meet your church's needs.
One of the issues that
makes the search for software so difficult, is the inherit complexity
of fund accounting. I have included a discussion of the mechanics
of fund accounting in the book as well.
Recenty, I developed
FlockBase, a church
software package, that tracks members and contributions. It
is designed for small churches. It is simple, easy to use, and affordable.
